     My bordered stone susans utilize the same stone as my Natural Stone susans. These are not manufactured of manmade or cultured stone materials. All solid native stone Granites and Marbles quarried from Spain. See these absolutely beautiful stones by simply clicking here. Please allow 2 to 4 weeks lead time.
     I am often asked “What size susan would be good for my table?” Well, if it’s going to be a decorative susan, then it can be any size you like. However, if it’s to be a functional piece, I like to recommend a minimum of 12 to 14 inches of “plate room” all the way around the susan. A good way to see how this would look is to make yourself a circle pattern out of paper. Click here for an easy way to make one. Then place it on your table and arrange some place settings around it. This will give you a very good idea as to how your susan will fit once you receive it.
     The piece I have pictured below is using the Butterfly Green. The susan is 24 inches in diameter. The stone insert is 14 inches. It is a dark green in color and  displays very similar iridescent properties as the  Blue Pearl does.  I have included an extra close-up  to give you an idea as to its true beauty.
     As you can see, I offer three sizes. All of them have an approximate 5 inch wide border of solid oak. You also have a variety of staining color options. The 30 inch model has a 20 inch stone, and the 36 inch unit comes with a 25 inch insert.
 

     This style of susan is strictly high end. As illustrated in this image, my  Premium swivel bases  are utilized to insure a high level of quality and service. Seen here is the 17 inch base on the 24 inch susan, a $119 value. The 30 inch susan is supplied with the Premium 24 inch base valued at $229, and the 36 inch susan comes with the 30 inch diameter base valued at $339. One reason that these susans may seem pricey is that these Premium bases are in themselves quite expensive.

Considerable precision and labor are required to insure a perfect alignment and fit.

     Here is a 30 inch oak bordered susan. Here we used the Marinache stone and left the wood unfinished per the clients request.

     In the below pictures we have a custom border susan. The client required solid Teak and used the Cream Blue Bahia.
